Well, I caved this evening and had a Caramel Brulee Latte from Starbucks while I was waiting for some prescriptions to be filled at the Target pharmacy. Not the best thing for me, but, not the worst thing either - at least it's grain-free! It is really carby though - 92grams! I'm also not feeling awesome about it because while it was DELICIOUS, I kind of have a caffeine/sugar headache now.
I did alright with lunch - could have had a delicious sandwich at Buffalo Wild Wings, but instead I just had chicken. And I'm ok with that.
Not the worst by a long way! I think the key is to fit these 'cheats' in to the daily food intake without feeling overly guilty about it.
ReplyDeleteCan you get sugar-free Starbucks over there? Might be an option.. although I really don't like sucking down all those chemical sugar substitutes.

I am sure there is sugar-free stuff available, but man, any kind of sugar substitute completely destroys my stomach, so I just stay away from it altogether.
ReplyDeleteI figure a small treat every now and then won't kill me. In primal world, that's just part of my 20% ;)
I agree - sometimes you need those little treats!
